Insults written on the door of the Great Mosque of Paris

The wall of the door of the Great Mosque of Paris was vandalized on the night of Monday to Tuesday with the inscription of "insulting to Muslims and Islam," announced its president, Dr. Boubakeur .

"We deeply regret the racist violence and hostility thus protesting against the iconic institution of Islam in France what the Mosque of Paris," said he said in a statement. He announced that a complaint had been filed with the Commissioner of the fifth arrondissement. President of the National Observatory against Islamophobia Abdallah Zekri condemned the "heinous act." Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoe said in a statement expressed its "indignation and anger" as a result of these "tags that are abusive (…), both irresponsible and unacceptable.

“In a statement sent to AFP on Tuesday, the Ministry of the Interior informed that Manuel Valls "strongly condemns affixing insulting writings on the walls of the Great Mosque of Paris."

 "The interior minister understands and shares the outrage of the Muslim community and tonight is to assure its full support," said the Interior.
