EU prepares to sign partnership agreements at the business summit in Vilnius with some Eastern European countries, which has angered Russia.

Partnership agreements between the European Union can thwart the efforts of Moscow to form a Eurasian Union with former Soviet states benefiting from cheaper Russian energy. Ukraine wants to reach a partnership agreement, however, Russia is putting pressure on the country, which relies on Russian gas.
