French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius has said he has little hope for planned peace talks over the Syrian conflict.
Mr Fabius said France was working on making the talks scheduled for next month in Switzerland a success, but that there was "a great deal of doubt".
And if, unfortunately, there was no success in these talks , it means that this country will continue to suffer, and neighboring countries as well.
He stressed that Bashar al-Assad said he will send representatives to Geneva, and despite the fact he has many errors, we cannot see why he will give up all his powers.
France was one of the first Western countries that provided military assistance against the fighting in the war, as was also the first Western country to recognize the Syrian National Coalition as the sole representative of the Syrian people.
