At the time Germans jihadists are traveling to Syria in large numbers, where around 230 of them were able to join the armed opposition there, a German politician called for the establishment of an early warning system eto prevent these young people to go to Syria.

The German newspaper Der Spiegel noted that Boris Rhein, interior minister the Land of Hesse located in the west of Germany, was disturbed by the growing number of German jihadists who travel to Syria to participate in the war.

Ryan pointed out that the biggest concern is targeting university students. He added that they found from a study in this regard and after expert analysis of 23 cases involving Salafists who traveled abroad, nine of them were accommodated in the Land of Hesse and are still studying. As it turns out that most of them have not completed 25 years and they were all born in Germany.

Ryan confirmed that he hopes to take into consideration facts and alarmingly high numbers to wake the rest of his colleagues, including the Ministries of the Interior of the other German states.

Der Spiegel reported that among the reasons of the prosperity of Jihad tourism and the growth rate is that the trip to Syria is simpler and easier than trying to get to the other hot zones radical, such as the tribal areas of northwest Pakistan. They do not need a visa to enter Turkey, and from the border, they can reach northern Syria.
